A mixed media art adventure inspired by artifacts from different cultures
Course of 8 sessions in mixed media at
St. Joseph’s Parish Centre, Cookham Road, Maidenhead SL6 7EG
Fridays 10.00am to 12.30pm
No session October 13 and October 27
Picasso and Matisse were greatly influenced by African art and textiles. During this course we will look at objects from colourful cultures round the world especially Morocco, Nigeria and Oceania. Some artefacts will be the textiles of everyday life while others may be masks and figurines with ceremonial or ritual significance. We will take these as inspiration to produce drawings and paintings rich in pattern and colour.
